Content Is Key
It’s important to not only post a lot on social media, it is also important what content is being presented and posted.
Knowing your audience and who are customers to your small business, is another way to capitalize on social media. It’s not just what you say, it is how you say it, or how it’s perceived. The best way to do this is to be consistent in what is being posted, and there sometimes is no limit on how many times it’s presented because you want to get your point across.
The content on social media needs to be unique, able to stand out, and relevant to the business and brand. One way to be able to do that is to create business hashtags that are seen everywhere, adding to the brand. Another way to create is looking at and understanding UGC, known as User Generated Content. This means taking a look at what followers are responding to, and what customers like or dislike to always be evolving and not get stuck in some way.
When posting content it is important to the small business to create a sense of community so people will want to come back and be a part of something. The content there has to be a purpose so people know what the brand and business is about, repetition is key whether it be hashtags, pictures, or key words, so people can associate that with the business. Once those are established through social media, it is important for the small business to keep up with brand content which could be pictures, hashtags, key words, and important brand content.
